Leanne Cooks has two wonderful cookbooks that are free to download.
Not only does she have recipes, but she also gives general ideas for making many types of things (like omelets, for example).
I highly suggest checking them out and getting involved in getting the print versions circulated to those who are on food stamps if you can.
This morning’s decadent weekend breakfast:
I used Betty Crocker’s oven pancake recipe. Although, the one in my cookbook only calls for two eggs. I put some cinnamon in the pan with the butter.
The filling is turkey sausage (any sausage will do) and four or five medium apples. I through that in a pan and let it cook while pancake is in the oven. Once the sausage is no longer pink, I cover it and let it simmer so the apples get soft. I put some cinnamon in with the sausage and apples too. Also, since it was turkey sausage, I put in a smidgen of butter. :-)
Top the pancake when it comes out and you can add syrup or honey if you want something sweeter.
I prefer this with maple sausage, but hubs is not a big maple fan, so if you want a twist, give it a try.

I just made liver snaps (for the dogs) for the first time. I had to chop the chicken livers before putting them in the blender and liquifying them. They just feel weird.
I like eating liver, but I’ve never dealt with it before it is cooked. It is weird…
As someone who goes through a lot of eggs, I think this is fantastic. I would love to see eggs in the grocery store in cartons that make less waste.
This recipe is for Dulce de Leche (or Confiture de Lait in French) from whole milk. I CAN NOT wait to try this. I may have to try Dulce de Leche from condensed milk first to have a comparison though.
These are one of my favorite things to make.
I have been thinking about making a cherry pie, but pitting the cherries without a pitter was one of the things holding me back.
You can tell I use a cookbook a lot by the number of sticky notes in it. These are much prettier than sticky notes.
